0:11
and prior to that I’ve been a project manager for about four and a half years
0:15
for around large-scale projects from
0:18
initiation weight room to completion closure to spend
0:23
it’s a house where they having one’s ones with us 213
0:27
reporting to me I have about 20 reports direct reports
0:31
and most have them here in core but some
0:34
in the US as well so it’s really having schools want ones working through any
0:38
issues they’re having on a project that the running
0:41
even with stakeholders teeming with team members you know
0:44
in issues where some other team members do not proceed directly reporting to you
0:48
to try and get them to do their job to try and get them motivated
0:51
keep them on focus on Tara just to achieve their goals a
0:55
you know an ongoing daily challenge put I really enjoy the
0:58
and people management in the communications to
1:01
to it was always gonna can avoid interfering
1:04
challenge is getting the right people to do the right asks so we can actually
1:08
started thinking maybe project management is an area

for humanitarian group related projects
1:28
and from there the opportunity arose to take on
1:31
a team project managers so that was really taking a stepping stone
1:35
I would have to say at the moment the rolling dunes for me the happiest I’ve
1:39
professional career I think to be a
1:42
really good project manager you definitely need to have
1:45
high-level motion intelligence so it’s not necessarily something you pick up
1:49
in college or university but it’s something that I think
1:52
that every precious minute I’ve met its really good at her job has the ability
1:57
to take a step back look at the bigger picture you do need to have excellent
2:01
communication skills not something I think you can learn
2:04
and and then have experience in the industry I don’t think
2:08
you can’t really be comical and solid project manager from directly or college
2:11
you probably need a number of years experience on their belt
2:15
either working in IT working in manufacturing working in
2:18
in the building trade that gives you a good grounding of the area that you’re
2:22
focused on and from there you go down the road of taking some project
2:26
management certifications to get through
2:27
suppose the fundamentals of for this meal project manager I’m
